Are you going for tight?
(1 size in 1 line, choose whether you want space in between, if so, include an extra 10cm in your calculation)
Think about it, the higher the bigger and the bigger the space the bigger the lantern. The smallest lanterns are always possible, only for 30m2 you have 30x30= 900 divided by the size of the lantern plus space in between
(example, 20cm lantern with 10cm free space, then you have 30cm as a formula, 900 divided by 30 is therefore 30 lanterns of 20cm needed, this is nice at a height of 2 to 4 meters. From 4 meters to 6 meters the 35cm lanterns look great. Then the formula is 900 divided by 45, so 20 lanterns of 35cm are needed)
You can string lines with fishing line, light string or other strong wire.

Are you going for playful (2 or more sizes at different heights)?
PRO TIP: Decide in advance whether you want to do 1 lantern per spring hook, or whether you want to combine with 2 or more. You have different fillings and with a playful effect you need fewer lanterns. Try playing with different sizes such as 25cm, 35cm and 45cm. Vary in heights and you will transform your space into a festive mood. Combine a lantern bunch and fill the corners of a space, in a rectangular space you can put extra bunches on the long sides. For a living room of 30m2 you have so a mix set of up to 20 lanterns is sufficient if you vary with 35cm and smaller. The sizes of the lanterns in combination with the space determine whether you need more or less.

PRO TIP: String lights are expensive and require a power outlet, with battery powered remote lights you avoid light cables and can operate them with a remote control. You can also light up lanterns with colored lights by shining them on or attaching them to the lanterns. White lanterns colors beautifully with all colors. From bright/warm white to the color you want.
